Trinity Dongle Repair Patch Released
Sometimes it was found that the Hardware Locks (Dongles) provided by Trinity would show DEMO COPY and wouldn't run beyond 25 minutes as set in the Demo Copy Setings. We got some 1-2 cases every month and we found that such problems occured when there would be some fluctuations in power or some live contact of the mother board with the Hardware lock because of poor earthing.

Such spikes would corrupt the hardware lock.

To overcome this problem, Trinity has released a small patch file cl32.dll for its software.

Basic Steps When your SERIAL PORT lock shows DEMO Mode
This information is not for USB Dongle.

Many a times, Windows changes the Parallel Port settings on your motherboard making the software not recognise the hardware lock. Best troubleshooting would be to put the lock on some other PC and check if its showing DEMO in that machine... If it shows DEMO there, it means you have to update your cl32.dll file as explained above. If it runs properly there, then the issue is with the motherboard settings.

Start your PC and go to BIOS of the motherboard (hitting F2 or DEL key) Look for the Parallel Port / LPT1 / Printer Port option and change the mode to ECP/EPP or ECP+EPP or ECP or EPP. Start your PC. Your software will now run OK.
